“Your product makes everything easier. Now I’m happier, my patients are happier and my co-workers are happier.  Funny thing is my two dental assistants had to push me to use it at first – old dog/new tricks.”
—Kay Henry, DDS
“Nothing reduces humidity like Isolite.  Rubber dams and cotton rolls are great, but there is nothing that gives us total control over the oral environment in so many applications as Isolite.  At this point, we use it daily and couldn’t practice without it.”
—Drs. Michael Melkers and Jeanine McDonald
“Before using Isolite, I was dependent on my clinical assistant for everything the Isolite does.  Now, she can enter clinical notes, fill out lab slips, and even leave the room to prepare for our next patient.  It has made me more productive, and the practice more efficient…and patients love it!

The Isolite has almost replaced the rubber dam in my practice.  It’s much more efficient, and even allows me to dual arch, quadrant dentistry, without stopping.  And since the patient is resting on the mouth prop, I find patients don’t get as fatigued.

The Isolite is definitely one of the best inventions in dentistry.  It’s made not only my job easier, but patients love it and so does my assistant.”
—Daniel Aneszko, DDS
“This is one of the few dental products that actually does everything it ways it’s going to do, not just some of the things, but everything.”
—William Walker, DMD, PhD
“I love the Isolite system because it has taken a shortcut on our sealants!  I can do four sealants in about fifteen minutes whereas before it used to take me 20 to 30 minutes.  I’ve also got the doctors working on 6 year molars and 12 year molars with the Isolite; I can tell you it’s my favorite thing.  I told a doctor in the Navy Reserves about the system and he couldn’t believe it could do all the things I told him it could so he decided he wanted a system.  In comparison to the rubber dam it doesn’t pinch the way the dam does, even if you don’t put pressure on the patients gums there still is pressure.  With Isolite there is none.  I also love having the light, I just love it.  The cost of the mouth pieces is obsolete because the system reduces time so effectively.  My doctors haven’t complained about the cost because it saves them time.  Patients also love it; I haven’t had one complaint, even those with a gag reflex.  If I just go one size down from what I would use on a normal patient they don’t have a problem with it and it still works.  We tried doing 6 year molars the old way and 12 year molars with Isolite and the patients say they like the Isolite better than having all that cotton in their mouths.  They seem to really enjoy it.”
—Rhonda Brilla, RDA
“My assistants love it because they can take care of other stuff while I am doing restorative work.  I can complete a whole procedure without them present.  So they can actually be in the next room dealing with other patients and staying on task.  That way we are not backed up at the end of the day.  I hear my assistants make comments such as, “Why don’t we use the Isolite more often?”

There is not a better isolation system out there.  I can show you a closet full of tricks that we have tried over the years.  I mean I can do a whole half of the mouth in one appointment.”
—Bruce Cassis, DDS
“I did a molar root canal (tooth #30) on a 15 year old today with Isolite and no rubber dam.  I had a completely dry field the whole time and there was no way I could drop a file down his throat!  It works as a bite block.  The patient was very comfortable.  The tooth was illuminated so much that finding 4 canals was a breeze and I could see half the way down them even with my overhead light turned off.  I gave a PDL injection…using the light injector on the buccal and then went straight to work.  No lingual anesthesia was needed.  This was just too good.  Isolite is a time and people saver.  This is a must-have product! “
—Mark Collins, DDS
“It’s amazing how it does so many needed functions so well. . . It’s perfect for my CEREC cases and I feel better knowing the excess powder will be contained and sucked away.  Knowing that the patient is protected while I work is a load off my mind.  Access and visualization of the operating field are essential for a successful outcome of any procedure.  The Isolite System makes this happen.  It is truly a long awaited invention.
—John A. Tomasino, Jr. DDS
“I received my Isolite yesterday.  It is awesome, it isolates as well as a rubber dam with a few exceptions…it is hands-down the best thing I have purchased since my IO cam.  Buy one today!”
—Rance Davis, DDS
“For me the main benefit of the Isolite system is with CEREC, which is high-production, high-stress work.  But Isolite makes it easier, smoother, faster and much less stressful. It probably cuts 10 to 20 minutes off a typical 60 to 90 minute procedure and offers better, more predictable results with more comfort for both the patient and me.  The system retracts the cheek and lip so well that the camera fits perfectly into position, and that’s a tremendous benefit in getting an optical impression.  Another big advantage is the tongue block, which seals off much of the posterior of the mouth so I don’t have to use a throat pack to avoid having a small piece going down a patient’s throat.  Isolite drastically reduces the stress of illumination, isolation, and retraction, which are important in CEREC procedures.  It’s a single system that makes all three stresses go away.  And that makes it worth the investment.  Since I work faster, I could probably push hard and do more procedures in a day, but for now I’m just sitting back and enjoying the easier pace and the lack of stress made possible by the Isolite system.”
—Jim DiMarino, DMD
“Last night I got my Isolite system…this thing is great.  I prepped an upper crown today and the patient was very comfortable, had no water in the back of the throat.  This may be my third favorite piece of equipment…”
—Tarun Agarwal, DDS
“Isolite helps with efficiency.  I can knock out an entire quadrant.  You have the light, the suction, better access.  I don’t know how in the world I did dentistry before without it, especially in difficult areas.”
—George Hardy, DDS
“I do a lot of air abrasion work, especially on kids, so we had a problem with nuisance dust in the office.  But because Isolite creates so much suction in the patient’s mouth, it greatly reduces the dust – I’d say by 75 percent.  At the same time it provides isolation and illumination so I can see what I’m doing.  Without Isolite, kids get dust in their mouth and have to rinse frequently.  And they tend to rinse and spit about ten times to avoid going back to the procedure.  But because Isolite aspirates constantly, they don’t need to rinse, they’re not wiggling, they’re not repositioning their head after every rinse and they’re not stalling.  So the procedure goes much faster; it’s done in one shot.  I probably do an abrasion in half the time I used to.  I don’t have a stopwatch in there but I’m definitely not going back to the old way to see how long it used to take.  I’d never consider doing air abrasion now without the Isolite system.  I’m more productive and can handle more small operative appointments in an hour.  And because my assistant doesn’t have to stand there with the high-volume extractor in one hand and the low volume in the other, she can do things that are more productive, like making sure I have the right materials.  She can stay one step ahead.”
—Scott Hendricks, DDS
“The Isolite is wonderful, I love it!  It makes sealants go really fast, in fact I did 16 sealants in about 14 minutes, that’s productive time!  It’s also great for kids, it reduces gagging, and my sealants are extraordinary now, better isolation than ever.  As a hygienist I absolutely love it because I’m always doing single-handed sealants.  As for the assistants, when they use it they can double book; they can deliver bleach trays or do impressions while the doctor is working.”
—Brenda Knox, RDH
“I enjoy using Isolite while assisting on just about every procedure because it makes us more efficient.  . . I think every dental assistant would love how it frees you from the chair.”
—Rita Sejbuk, RDA
“The claim Isolite makes in terms of being more efficient is definitely true.  You can work faster, things go quicker, and I don’t even have to have an assistant.  The field of vision is clearer. When working on the maxillary, the mirror stays clearer longer and everything goes more rapidly.  It’s totally essential for CEREC and in terms of the powdering it makes everything so much more relaxed, I would say at the end of the day you can be less fatigued because of it.”
—Edward Mitoma, DDS
“One thing I really enjoy about the Isolite is that I can work on the upper and lower quadrant of one side of the mouth without having to change out the rubber dam.  I’m able to actually work faster and be more efficient with the Isolite and my patients have tolerated it very well which I have really enjoyed.  It has enhanced the speed at which I can do dentistry as well as the quality because I can basically do twice as much without having to worry about the rubber dam.  My assistants are able to do some other things such as mixing materials, getting things ready while I’m working which definitely helps.  In terms of overall efficiency you can’t beat it!”
—Grant Ringler, DDS
“The other assistants and I liked our first Isolite system so much that we begged the dentists to get another one . . . The system makes my work so much faster and easier.”
—Whitney York, RDA
“My practice has become Isolite dependent; I can’t imagine even doing ten percent of what I do today without the Isolite due to the excellent control of humidity in the oral cavity.  It’s superior to a rubber dam in that not only do you have a completely isolated tooth you also have evacuation at the same time, removing any moisture that the patient might exhale.  It’s extremely difficult for me to get patients to wear a rubber dam, because in my opinion the rubber dam is like a medieval torture device, it’s very crude and often times ineffective so I’ve been doing a lot of bonded dentistry using cotton roll holders to get that sort of isolation, but the Isolite is just truly unbelievable.  I’m also a CEREC user, and the Isolite works unbelievably well with CEREC because we really need high resolution images and any jaw movement makes it difficult to do that, but with Isolite the jaw is completely stabilized.  Fogging mouth mirrors and retracting tongues are a thing of the past.  I expect to see better results with bonded dentistry because I have never been able to control the oral environment as well as I have with Isolite.  You can ask my staff members; they are completely excited about the Isolite because it has drastically reduced the amount of time per procedure.  When you go through any of the dental journals every product says it is going to increase your productivity and say you time, and I’m a gadget guy who has bought pretty much everything that is out there but none of the products have really delivered on the time savings the way Isolite does.  I encourage everyone to try it because it really saves you so much time and it’s just incredible how much more operative a person can get done in one day’s time.  Patients too have had really positive comments about it, they love it.  I have some who say they never again want to have anything done without the Isolite.  I had one patient where I poured water down her throat to test the evacuation, and she said she couldn’t feel any water going down at all.  Also, patients say afterwards their jaw doesn’t feel stretched out or strained the way it would trying to hold open for an entire procedure.  I have become completely dependent on the Isolite, I can’t think of a product that has had a more profound impact on my practice.”
—Daniel Ross, DDS
“We’ve used it on adults and on kids.  In fact, the reason I bought it more than anything was for my dental assistant to use while placing sealants on children.  Most of the children we tried it on really like it, they probably feel more secure when they’re biting down on something.  I also used it on an adult the other day to do two crown preps and she fell asleep in the chair!  My feeling is it may not work on everyone but it’s like any other device in dentistry, you have to pick and choose your patients.  So far however, we have been very pleased with the results as well as patient response, wish is so important, I don’t think we’ve found one person that didn’t find it comfortable and reassuring.  When I was in dental school we had to use rubber dams, and patients would fall asleep in their chairs as well.  With tooth isolation, the Isolite has replaced the rubber dam with the added advantage it gives the patient security that nothing can get down their throat because everything is sealed up, and again biting down is easier than staying open. . .  We can really see how in a pinch if a dental assistant was out for the day and we couldn’t replace them you can rely on the Isolite to work on a few patients by yourself.  It’s certainly easier than trying to work on a patient without it.  Using the Isolite is something I think about as soon as a patient sits down, it might make it easier on them, with the kids and sealants it’s almost a given because isolation is the key and for air abrasion it works well too because the suction is right there and it prevents the sand particles from going down the patient’s throat.  In terms of procedure time it really makes the procedure more efficient —especially for the staff because we don’t have to use two assistants to do one child.  When it’s good it’s good!”
—Paul Rubenstein, DDS
“When I use the Isolite I can work much more efficiently and quicker.  I don’t have to keep switching cotton rolls, or suctioning.  I can just move from tooth to tooth without interruptions.”
—Jason Prillwitz, RDH
“The Hirsch brothers have really hit on something.  I don’t have a high-volume practice, but anyone who works with multiple chairs will finish their work early with Isolite because it easily cuts 15 to 20 minutes off every 90 minute procedure.  For me, it’s mainly a matter of comfort.  The patient is comfortable so my work is easier.  Since I got the system every single patient has commented on how comfortable it is.  It keeps the tongue out of the work area, keeps the cheeks protected and has a bite block.  So instead of saying “Open, open, open” all the time, I just say “close” once.  The patient is relaxed and the work goes smoothly.  And my assistant is freed up; in fact it’s like having an extra assistant.  Patients also like that it’s a clean system with disposable with a disposable mouthpiece that comes in a sealed pouch.  And I use a lot less cotton rolls.  Without Isolite, I use about 100 a day.  With Isolite, I use hardly any because everything stays so dry.  And it’s not just the cost of the cotton but the time spent putting them in and taking them out.  It’s tremendous.  I do better dentistry with greater leisure.  Twelve years ago I was diagnosed with cancer.  I sold my New York City practice and moved to the country.  I love dentistry and I practice it for enjoyment.  I don’t want to be stressed out about it.  Isolite fits with that.  On the first day I had it I knew it was excellent.  It was immediate gratification.  I recommend it without reservation.”
—Morton Tau, DMD
“It makes dentistry so much easier.  I do a lot of laser work and I’m sure the Isolite paid for itself the first week I had it because I can perform procedures much faster.  It probably knocks 25 percent off treatment times and it frees up my assistant so that she can be more efficient outside the mouth.  She’s not sucking and retracting so I have more space to work and she can be mixing what I need and staying a step ahead.  She doesn’t have to do half of what I used to have her doing.  Another big advantage is with procedures that don’t require anesthesia but do require a rubber dam.  If the patient’s mouth isn’t numb, it’s hard to put on a rubber dam because the dam clamp can hurt the patient.  Isolite removes the need for a rubber dam and the discomfort associated with the clamp.  So no clamp, no dam, no anesthesia.  I’m more productive, I perform more procedures and that influences the bottom line.  And if you’re cutting procedure times by 25 percent, you’re making your money back many times over.  It’s phenomenal.  Patients like that they’re out of the chair quicker.  And that’s possible because Isolite gives me a very dry, open, well-lit field which is critical when working with lasers.  I wouldn’t want to practice dentistry without it.”
